Isranalytica 2012 – Summary Page

The success of this event is attributable mainly to the active participants of the meeting – plenary speakers, keynote speakers, oral presenters, poster presenters, exhibitors and the audience. It was an exciting, interesting and fruitful meeting.

The ISRANALYTICA 2012 Conference and Exhibition, the 15th Annual Meeting of the Israel Analytical Chemistry Society, took place on January 24th-25th, 2012, at the David Intercontinental Hotel, Tel-Aviv, Israel.

The annual meetings of the Israel Analytical Chemical Society have become some of the largest annual analytical chemistry conferences in the world. This year, we are proud to announce that we have broken all previous records of numbers of with 1100 people participating in the conference, and 1622 attending the exhibition.

ISRANALYTICA has been recognized by the International Society of Electrochemistry (ISE), and the Cooperation for International Traceability in Analytical Chemistry (CITAC)

The Exhibition:

Isranalytica exhibition is the largest analytical chemistry exhibition in Israel in 2012.
It included all the major companies, suppliers and service companies in Israel and considered to be most interesting. Its large venue enabled a perfect atmosphere for networking and sharing new ideas. The exhibition included a career fair where 6 companies; 2 manpower firms, 3 Industrial companies, and The Ministry of Immigration Absorption agencies offered their open career opportunities. the fair was attended by over 250 people for this event only.

Bioforum, the longstanding organizers and producers of Isranalytica, sponsored a beautiful café, offering comfortable lounge areas for networking or just plain catching up with colleagues. Bioforum's partnership with Kaplan Eduneering was debuted at the café, where Hebrew-language CBTs were broadcast to give people a taste of what this partnership will have to offer.

Scientific Program and Awards

The scientific program in 2012 included 4 plenary lectures, 16 keynote lectures, 52 lectures delivered by top international scientists, a special "meet the regulator" session delivered by Christine Moore of the FDA, and a poster session.

Three prestigious poster awards were granted by the Organizing Committee to outstanding posters in the general assembly of the Israel Analytical Chemistry Society:

On the first day of the conference, the IACS Medals for Excellence in Chemistry were presented to:

Shosh Neumann, Ph.D., of Teva Generics System, for her contribution to the enhancement of analytical chemistry education in Israel
Mr. Aharon Yaari, Group Vice President, Teva Generics System, for his significant and generous support of analytical chemistry education in Israeli universities

The Israel Analytical Chemistry Society Award in memory of Dr. Jehuda Yinon was granted to:

Best service supplier of the year
This year we commenced the “best service supplier of the year” award which
Dr. Golik won by visitors voting.
All vendors were nominated to this award and visitors to the conference and exhibition choose using written form.

Satellite Courses
Three satellite courses were offered to the general public:

	Industrial Heating and Cooling Systems and Chillers A one-day seminar sponsored by Meshulam Avni and Son, a major supplier for the Israeli industry
	GLP: Getting it Right the First Time A course offered jointly by Bioforum and the Israel Laboratory Accreditation Society
	HR, Management, and Training A one-day seminar given by industry expert Dr. Sigalit Ariely-Portnoy

Entertainment and Social Events:

	Get together Isranalytica 2012 kicked off with a social get-together dinner, hosting overseas guests. This traditional dinner is always a great ice-breaker for newcomers and old friends alike.
	Musical pause We were thrilled to host Eldad Shrem and his Big Band Orchestra, one of Israel's most well-known entertainment troupes, who set the tone for a relaxing yet professional event.
	Festive Dinner The tradition festive annual dinner, attended by the Organizing Committee and plenary lecturers, was held on the second night of Isranalytica 2012. Entertainment was provided by FAWA, a guitar-vocals duo.
